About Orlena:
She was found by Spain in 1541 during exploration by de Soto and Coronado. Spain had seen her and took a liking to her. He called her "Rosalyn." But that changed when she went from being "New Spain" to "New France." France then gave her the name "Orlena". She went back to Spain, who made most of the architectural structures in New Orleans, especially those in the French Quarter.
After becoming a full-fledged state, she kept Creole and English as her main languages. Even though you'll mostly find Cajun French being spoken.
In modern-day... She's almost the only one left who can speak it.
Orlena's a very sweet young lady. She dabbles in Voodoo and has on more than one occasion been called "The Final Southern Belle".
